Salva Borrego is a Barcelona based photographer who centers his work in people and places, seeking to transform external landscapes into interior states. He contacted us for conceptualising and developing his WordPress Wordpress portfolio. The brief? A simple layout with super speed loading where he could easily update contents.
A medium format analog photography grid. Simplicity on design needs to be accurate to work wisely. We conceptualise the project by designing a 12 columns grid based on medium format analog photography (6x7) that creates different proportional layouts depending on images size.
Salva wanted to emulate an exhibition experience on the website, so we create a double navigation through his portfolio: one for a complete overview, the other for a detailed view of each photography. We developed a coloured placeholder from each picture pixel average tones for a smooth image loading.
