A photographer portfolio
Salva Borrego is a Barcelona based photographer who centers his work in people and places, seeking to transform external landscapes into interior states. He contacted us for conceptualising and developing his portfolio. The brief? A simple layout with super speed loading where he could easily update contents.
A medium format analog photography grid
Simplicity on design needs to be accurate to work wisely. We conceptualise the project by designing a 12 columns grid based on medium format analog photography (6×7) that creates different proportional layouts depending on images size.
Double navigation and subtle animations
Salva wanted to emulate an exhibition experience on the website, so we create a double navigation through his portfolio: one for a complete overview, the other for a detailed view of each photography. We developed a coloured placeholder from each picture pixel average tones for a smooth image loading.
